Ortiz Helps San Bernardino Cruise to 12-0 Win
The San Bernardino Stampede grabbed a win, 12-0, over the Bakersfield Blaze at Grainger Stadium. San Bernardino third baseman C.J. Ortiz went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 6. Richard Reynolds was the winner. He's now 9-4. The loser was 21-year old right-handed pitcher Ellis Gersten. With the win, San Bernardino upped its record to 82-54.

Early in the game, Ortiz had a 3-run home run for San Bernardino. It was his 19th home run of the season and put the Stampede on top, 3-0.
