Salem Memorial Baseball Stadium was rocking after an exciting Red Sox win.

Salem Red Sox starter Greg Sigmon kept the Virginia Beach Mariners hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 6-2 win. With the loss, Virginia Beach sinks to 1-3.

Noam Akins was the walk-off hero for Salem. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Red Sox first baseman hit a dramatic grand slam home run to send the teams home.

"Put a star next to this win," Akins said.
