McSwain 4-for-4 in Salem Win
|
Red Sox center fielder Nathan McSwain left his imprint on his team's 8-6 win over the Virginia Beach Mariners. McSwain went 4-4 with a home run, 3 singles, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 times and drove in 3 for Salem in the contest. Bartoli Aguilera finished the game for Salem and earned his 2nd save. With the loss, Virginia Beach drops to 7-7.
Salem used the hitting of Mariano Cavazos to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put the Red Sox on top, 3-1. For the game, Cavazos had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said McSwain.
