Blue Jays Take Tight Tangle
Wade Salyers did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the St. Lucie Mets from being beaten, 8-7, to the Dunedin Blue Jays at Tradition Field. Salyers went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The win gives Dunedin a record of 11-11.

Columbia, Missouri-born Bairn Sheehan came through in the clutch. In the top of the ninth, with the bases loaded and the Blue Jays trailing 7-6, he hit a 2-run single to right to put Dunedin on top.

"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Sheehan.
