Win Streak at 7 for Renegades
|
The Hudson Valley Renegades faced a tough opponent in Oxford pitcher Lucas Córdova, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Ballpark of Oxford by a final score of 5-3. Córdova went 5 innings and allowed no runs. Lenard Chenault, credited with the win in relief, is now 2-0. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 1.2 innings. Axel Adams earned the save for Hudson Valley.
Hudson Valley used a clutch at-bat from Hilário Neverez to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the third inning to put the Renegades ahead, 5-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"Winning never gets old," said Renegades manager Bentley Love.
With the loss, Oxford is 15-9.
