The Tampa Tarpons beat the St. Lucie Mets, 10-2, at Tradition Field. Tampa first baseman Hubert Newport led the way. He was 4 for 5 with 2 home runs and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The winning pitcher was Logan Franco. He tossed 95 pitches over 6.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits. With the win, the Tarpons sit at 14-14.
