Owls Pull Off Thrilling 6-3 Win in Extras
The Oxford Owls beat the Salem Red Sox, 6-3, in 10 innings at Salem Memorial Baseball Stadium. Josiah Cope, in particular, was impressive. He went 1-1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Hayden Dannenberg, now 3-2, was credited with the win in 1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 1 and walking 2. The Owls now have a mark of 19-18.

Cope had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a full count fastball from Guy Winder, he banged a 3-run home run to center, giving the Owls a 6-3 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Cope.

"It took some blood and sweat, but we got what we were after," said Owls manager Ben Nieto.
