Streaking Keys Win Another One, 8-0
|
The Florida Fire Frogs had to reckon with Frederick Keys hurler Allberto Pineco. Pineco, who is tied for 3rd in the ECL in wins with 5, overwhelmed the opposition in the 8-0 Keys triumph. Pineco picked up the win for Frederick, going 6.2 innings. He gave up no runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 5-0. Frederick is third in the East Coast League Mideast Division with a record of 27-16.
In the bottom of the second, Frederick third baseman Laris Krumenauer had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Krumenauer stroked a run-scoring single to left-center. It made the score 2-0, Frederick. For the game, he went 3-4 with 3 singles, while scoring 2 times.
