Fire Frogs Drop 10-3 Decision to Stone Crabs
|
The Charlotte Stone Crabs faced a tough opponent in Florida pitcher Reagan Whiteside, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Osceola County Stadium by a final score of 10-3. Whiteside went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 run. The win was credited to Ignacio Delreal in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Reagan Whiteside took the loss. The 'W' lifts Charlotte's record to 25-17.
Maxwell Guerriero, the 24-year old third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Guerriero contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the seventh inning to put Charlotte up, 2-0.
"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Charlotte skipper Mauricio Ortiz.
