Red Sox Absorb 2-0 Loss at G. Richard Pfitzner Stadium
|
Cocoa starter Chris Sanders kept the Salem offense from doing much damage. The left-hander leaned on his slider in leading the Flyers to a 2-0 win. Sanders got the win, improving to 3-4. He gave up 7 hits and walked 1 over 6 innings. He allowed no runs. With the win, the Flyers are 12-29.
Cocoa designated hitter Meyer Isbell contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 17th hit of the season and put the Flyers ahead, 2-0.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Isbell.
