Fire Frogs Win, 5-2, in Extra Frames
|
Florida turned a fine outing from starter Peter Arentz into a victory over the Virginia Beach Mariners at Virginia Beach Ballpark. The final score was 5-2 in 11 innings. Florida is now 25-33.
It could have been a different outcome for Florida, had it not been for Ronald Sherman, the 23-year old third baseman . Sherman contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put Florida up, 3-2.
"There's a warrior mentality with this team," said Fire Frogs manager Josh Constantin.
