The Charlotte Stone Crabs got a stellar performance from pitcher Will Strickland, who handcuffed the Lynchburg offense en route to a win, 4-2, at Charlotte Sports Park. Their 35-22 record puts the Stone Crabs second in the East Coast League Florida Division.

Had Josiah Bareiss not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Bareiss hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Stone Crabs.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Bareiss.
