The Lynchburg Hillcats downed the Salem Red Sox, 6-4, at Salem Memorial Baseball Stadium. Marciano Cole led the way, going 3-for-4 for Lynchburg. Damian Becky earned the save for Lynchburg, his 3rd of the year. Salem's current losing streak is now 4 games.

The game was all tied up in the top of the eighth, until Cole delivered big-time for Lynchburg, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Syd Lin. The game-changing hit put the Hillcats on top, 4-3.

"I like the roll we're on," said Lynchburg manager Jon Hundley.
