Owls Squelch Mariners Offense in Shutout Win
Right-hander B.J. Gaber mesmerized the Virginia Beach Mariners while leading the Oxford Owls to a 4-0 victory. Oxford is now 47-19, 9½ games up in the East Coast League Mideast Division.

In the bottom of the seventh, Oxford second baseman Vinny Reyes hit a run-scoring single to center field. The clutch hit made it, 1-0, Owls.

"A great game, a great day," said Reyes about the win. "I can't complain."
