Oxford Bats Cold in 4-0 Loss
|
Frederick Keys pitcher Bobby Stinson was in fine form, leading his team past the Oxford Owls, 4-0. Stinson, the winner, moves to 6-4. He threw 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 3 walks. The Keys now have a record of 38-27.
Frederick used a well-timed hit by Elvys Armendariz to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Keys ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said Armendariz.
