The St. Lucie Mets easily defeated the Cocoa Flyers, 15-0, at G. Richard Pfitzner Stadium, with right fielder Tai-Lung Chung a main contributor to the win. He was 2 for 5 with 2 home runs and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 5 for St. Lucie. Santiago Gil was the winner. He's now 4-0. The loser was 23-year old left-handed pitcher Rex Brown. Cocoa is in the throes of a losing streak which has reached 11 games.

The Flyers had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Mets going into the top of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old second baseman Kenon Cormany came to the plate. Cormany hit a run-scoring triple on a 1-2 cutter from Cocoa hurler Rex Brown. It was Cormany's 1st triple of the year.

"I know everybody in here is putting in the work," said Cocoa manager Josh Baker. "It's just not paying off."
