Florida Fire Frogs starter Grant Finn turned in a top-notch performance against the Lynchburg Hillcats at Calvin Falwell Field. The result was a win for the Fire Frogs, 8-1. The second-place Fire Frogs hiked their record to 43-27.

Clancy Sublett had a big 2-run home run for the Fire Frogs in the top of the third inning. With Florida leading 1-0 and a runner on 3rd, he sized up a splitter from 23-year old left-handed pitcher Livan Galabiz and punished it. The result was his 5th home run of the season, which put the Fire Frogs on top, 3-0.

"Grant pounded the strike zone and made good pitches when he needed to," said Florida manager Kornel Burnett.
