Stone Crabs Fall to Dash, 6-1
|
Getting an impressive start from Jay Bungert, Winston-Salem beat Charlotte by the score of 6-1. Bungert, now 2-3, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 5, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. The Dash now have a record of 36-34 with the win over Charlotte.
Though it wasn't a flawless game -- few are -- the fans who filled the stands at BB&T Ballpark seemed to enjoy watching the East Coast League action.
Bungert attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
