Salem Loses Again, 9-1
|
The Virginia Beach Mariners defeated the Salem Red Sox, 9-1, at Virginia Beach Ballpark today. Leading the charge for Virginia Beach was designated hitter Daniel Alcantara. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Vern Harlow got the win, improving to 5-4. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 3 hits and no runs, while striking out 3 and walking 1. Virginia Beach now sits at 38-31, while Salem falls to 21-48.
