The Lynchburg Hillcats picked up a win at Virginia Beach Ballpark, topping the Virginia Beach Mariners, 6-4. On the mound for Lynchburg was left-hander Robert Lahman. He played a principal role in the triumph. At 30-52, the Hillcats claim last place in the East Coast League Mideast Division.
It could have been a different outcome for Lynchburg, had it not been for Bill Andres, the 25-year old left fielder . Andres contributed a 2-run single in the top of the third inning to put Lynchburg up, 4-0.
"I went out and just tried to do my job," said Lahman.
