Boosted by the 2-hit performance of Elijah Denton, who finished 5th in the AL in home runs with 39 in 2063, the Vancouver Cascades defeated the Portland Hops, 4-2. Jess Niemi closed it out for Vancouver, earning his 2nd save. Portland, with the loss, is still a robust 5-1.

Denton had a timely hit for Vancouver in the top of the sixth. With Vancouver trailing 2-0, he turned a 2-2 fastball into a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season, making it 3-2, Vancouver.

Vancouver manager Mick Simmons called it "a good, solid win."
