Dash Edged, 7-5, by Oxford
|
Extra innings were needed to determine a winner at BB&T Ballpark.
Samuel Camacho did all he could to help his team prevail. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Winston-Salem Dash from losing the game, 7-5, to the Oxford Owls in 10 innings at BB&T Ballpark. Camacho went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Oxford's winning streak has reached 4 games.
Oxford needed the clutch hitting of Kolton Certain to seal the deal. The first baseman swatted a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Owls on top, 6-5. For the game, Certain had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"You just play the game as right as you can and see where you end up," said Owls manager Ben Nieto.
