Dash Win with Late Rally
The Winston-Salem Dash faced a tough opponent in St. Lucie pitcher Ed Moore, but found a way to pull out the victory at Tradition Field by a final score of 3-2 in 11 innings. Moore went 8 innings and allowed 1 run. Andy Douglas came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. His record now stands at 4-5. Winston-Salem is now 51-39. St. Lucie is 26-64.

Mark Stewart came through with a big-time hit for Winston-Salem. The catcher smacked a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to give his team the lead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Took some scratching and clawing," said Stewart. "But we got it done."
