The St. Lucie Mets beat the Lynchburg Hillcats, 7-6, at Calvin Falwell Field. St. Lucie first baseman Victor Stefani collected 2 singles and 2 doubles with 3 runs batted in. St. Lucie reliever Yacinto Vargas picked up the win, upping his record to 3-2. Turner Pacheco took the loss. Shannon Anderson collected his 17th save.

The game was all tied up in the top of the ninth, until Stefani delivered big-time for St. Lucie, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Turner Pacheco. The game-changing hit put the Mets on top, 7-6.

"Whatever it takes to win," said Stefani. "That's our attitude."

The Mets move to 57-34 with the win, while the Hillcats drop to 61-30.
