Though the conditions were not ideal, the Clinton LumberKings and Peoria Chiefs came back from a rain delay to finish their game.

Clinton turned a good effort from starter Puddy Ralph into a win over the Peoria Chiefs at Dozer Park. The LumberKings won the game, 5-0. The win gives Clinton a record of 2-0.

Harrison Tappan broke a 0-0 tie in the top of the fourth with a run-scoring ground out. It put the LumberKings in front, 1-0. For the game, Tappan was 1-4. He drove in 3 runs.

"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Tappan.
