Chiefs Prevail, 5-4, in 12 Innings
|
The outcome was not decided until the very end at Dozer Park.
R.J. Medina helped his team muscle past the West Michigan Whitecaps, 5-4. In the game, the Peoria second baseman went 3-6 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. The loss puts West Michigan at 3-2.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 12th. With one out, Medina hit a fastball from Rafe Arias for a solo home run. The Chiefs, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"Our team showed some spunk," said Medina.
