LumberKings Topple Dragons, 4-2

The Clinton LumberKings topped the Dayton Dragons, 4-2, in Midwest League action at Ashford University Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Clinton pitcher Jonny Santana. Santana got the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed 5 hits and walked 1 over 6.2 innings. Santana allowed 2 runs. Earning his 1st save for Clinton was Marco Maria.
In the bottom of the sixth, Calvin Cousineau delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and the bases loaded, the Clinton second baseman hit a 2-run single, putting the LumberKings in front, 4-2.
"We'll grab a barley pop and savor this win," said Cousineau.
Clinton is now 5-7.
