The Lake County Captains stymied the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, 4-2, at Neuroscience Feild at Fox Cities Stadium. Trinidad Kuntz had a good day at the plate. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Lake County. Rhett Kinard earned the win to go to 1-0. He allowed 2 runs on 5 hits, with no walks and 4 strikeouts in 5 innings of work. With the win, Lake County is 5-4.
Kuntz had a key at-bat in the top of the fifth to put Lake County in front, 4-1. With the bases loaded, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run off Wisconsin pitcher Keegan Gilliam.
