With 5-1 Win, River Bandits Improve to 9-7
|
Riding the 2-hit performance of the 23-year old left fielder Waylon Humpal, the Quad Cities River Bandits stopped the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, 5-1. Quad Cities reliever Jeremiah Garcia was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Jodie Lin took the loss. Quad Cities goes to 9-7.
The River Bandits got a big boost from third baseman Dan Dominico who had a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the first inning off Timber Rattlers hurler Anrique Garcia. It was his 8th walk of the season and put Quad Cities on top, 1-0.
Dominico attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
