Win Makes Muskies 11-3
|
The Madison Muskies beat the Quad Cities River Bandits, 5-4, at Modern Woodmen Park. The win was due in part to first baseman Fidel Adames, who was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Camden Trousdale earned the win for Madison. He lasted 6 innings, allowing 4 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 5. With the win, he raised his record to 2-0. Earning his 1st save for Madison was Hunter Reese.
With Madison leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Adames hit a fastball from Dylan McFarland for a grand slam home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Muskies ahead, 5-0.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Adames.
So far, the 2052 season has been disappointing for Quad Cities, now 6-8.
