Haymakers Earn 2-0 Road Win Over Ames
Levi Rosen pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Ames Sod Poodles, despite Rosen's fine outing, dropped a 2-0 decision to the Cedar Rapids Haymakers at Community Field. Bryce Adams, credited with the win in relief, is now 2-0. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. D.J. Waldman recorded his 7th save for Cedar Rapids.

Patrick Goodman had a direct impact on the outcome. Goodman contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put Cedar Rapids up, 2-0.

"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Goodman told the Cedar Rapids Times. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."

The Sod Poodles fall to 7-11 and continue their lackluster start to the 2069 season.
