Timber Rattlers Lose to Sod Poodles in Walk Off
The Ames Sod Poodles faced a tough opponent in Wisconsin pitcher Steve Kesselring, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Community Field by a final score of 4-3. Kesselring went 7 innings and allowed no runs. The winner was M.J. Prosperi in relief. His record improves to 1-2. Felix Heredia took the loss. The win gives Ames a record of 9-9.

Justin Rome was the walk-off hero for Ames. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Sod Poodles pinch hitter hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.

"It's great to see the crowd jacked up," Rome said.
