Toronto turned a good effort from starter J.B. Whitson into a win over the Fresno Falcons at Savemart Center. The Blue Jays won the game, 4-0. The winning pitcher was Whitson, now 2-0. He tossed 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 5. The defeat makes Fresno 1-7.

Toronto relied on the bat of Brendan Colopy to get the win. The center fielder ripped a run-scoring double in the top of the second inning to put the Blue Jays ahead, 2-0. For the game, Colopy had 1 double and 1 triple in 3 at-bats.

"J.B. was able to locate to both sides, up and down," said Toronto manager Rafael Mier.
