Led by 22-year-old Logan Brock, the Ames Sod Poodles knocked off the West Michigan Whitecaps, 5-1. Brock went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs for the Sod Poodles. Liam Baker earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2.2 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. Jed Barnard picked up the save, his 7th.

"I was just going up there trying to see good pitches, that was about it," said Brock.
