The Dayton Dragons defeated the West Michigan Whitecaps, 7-4, at Fifth Third Ballpark. Dayton was led by 22-year old left fielder Yariel Ramon, who went 2 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Picking up the save was 22-year old left-handed pitcher Stephen Brooks. The Whitecaps fall to 9-18 and continue their sputtering start to the 2068 season.

Ramon had a game-changing double in the top of the eighth. On a 1-0 curveball from Yohanny Blandon, he banged a 2-run double to center, giving the Dragons a 5-3 lead. It was the 2nd double of the year for Ramon.

"No one player deserves all the credit when you win," Ramon said. "And the same is true when you lose."
