Osmond Walker was terrific for the Peoria Chiefs in his team's 5-0 triumph over the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders. His performance earned Walker rave reviews. Walker got the win, improving to 2-4. He gave up 4 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. He allowed no runs. With their winning streak at 5, the Chiefs have raced to a strong start this season.
It could have been a different outcome for Peoria, had it not been for Kieran Purdin, the 20-year old catcher . Purdin contributed a solo home run in the top of the third inning to put Peoria up, 2-0.
"Keep grinding," said Purdin, "and good things are bound to happen."
