Los Angeles Bats Go Silent in 6-0 Loss
|
Los Angeles got a terrific performance from pitcher Zach Small, but it wasn't enough to beat the Boston Red Sox. Boston won the Dodger Stadium contest, 6-0. Small threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball for the losing team. Earning his 1st save for Boston was Aiden DiSano. Los Angeles is 3-5 after the loss.
Boston took a 5-0 lead on Woody De Maria's 1st home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which De Maria hit in the top of the ninth, left Los Angeles pitcher Martin Carroll visibly frustrated.
"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," De Maria told the Boston Chronicle. "Whatever it takes."
