Muskies Sneak Past Snappers, 7-6
|
Beloit designated hitter Elwood Stillwell had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Stillwell went 3 for 5 with 3 singles and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once, even as Madison beat the Snappers, 7-6. Madison is now 19-16, while Beloit is 13-22.
Madison got a knockout punch from Spencer Fedler. The catcher hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the 16th inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
In postgame remarks, Fedler simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
