Texas Gets 8-2 Win Against Yankees
|
The Texas Rangers picked up a win at Yankee Stadium, topping the New York Yankees, 8-2. On the mound for Texas was right-hander Justus Van Eps. He played a principal role in the triumph. Maxwell Baxter, who is a three-time All-Star, nailed down the save. The win has Texas at 3-6.
Texas used the hitting of W.C. Mosher to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Rangers on top, 3-2. For the game, Mosher had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We did a lot of things right," said Mosher.
