The Great Lakes Loons coasted to a win over the Cedar Rapids Haymakers, 11-3. Terry Peacock had a good day at the plate for Great Lakes. He went 3 for 5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Reliever Micah Abernathy picked up the win. His record improves to 2-0. Mark McCreary took the loss. David Hiu locked down his 1st save.
Peacock had a key at-bat for Great Lakes early in the game. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and gave Great Lakes an early 2-0 lead.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Peacock.
With the win, Great Lakes pushed its record to 20-19.
