Snappers Top Dragons, 5-2
|
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Beloit Snappers and Dayton Dragons.
The Beloit Snappers topped the Dayton Dragons, 5-2, in Midwest League action at Harry C. Pohlman Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Beloit pitcher Isaias Hosmer. The Snappers improve their record to 20-17 with the win over Dayton.
Had Russell Beck not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Beck hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Snappers.
Hosmer attributed the win to his team's "hyper resolve."
