The Quad Cities River Bandits grabbed a win, 12-5, over the Ames Sod Poodles at Modern Woodmen Park. Quad Cities center fielder Preston Yajnavalkya was 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, and was hit 2 times, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The third-place River Bandits improved to 24-20.

The River Bandits got a big at-bat from third baseman Addy Vendegna. For the game, Vendegna went 1 for 5 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Quad Cities a 8-5 lead.
