The Flint Wolverines, behind a great outing from Rivo Cotto, who is tied for 9th in the MID in wins with 4, defeated the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders, 3-0, at Ballpark of Burlington. The winner was Cotto. He threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Nelson Rick. Kajon Davis picked up the save, his 8th.

The Wolverines got a big at-bat from right fielder Mihai Matei. For the game, Matei went 1-5 with a home run. In the top of the first, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Flint a 1-0 lead.

"It was a hard game, a hard night," said Fond du Lac skipper Elijah Spector.

With the win, the Wolverines have a record of 20-25.
