LumberKings Take Tight Tilt
Not everyone stuck through the 65-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.

The Clinton LumberKings knocked off the Madison Muskies, 3-2, in Midwest League action at Ashford University Field. Clinton pitcher and Coral Springs, Florida, native Tom Neace had an outstanding performance. Neace got the win, improving to 2-0. He gave up 3 hits and walked 0 over 6 innings. He allowed no runs.

The LumberKings got a big at-bat from catcher Aiden Justice. For the game, Justice was 1 for 3 with a double. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 1st double of the season gave Clinton a 1-0 lead.

"When I go out there," said Neace, "the last thing I want to do is let my teammates down."

The LumberKings raised their record to 43-16.
