The Westside Woolly Mammoths, despite a fine performance by Fort Wayne pitcher Dionte Suastegui, grabbed a 2-1 win in 10 innings at Municipal Stadium. Suastegui allowed 1 run over 7 innings. With the victory, the Woolly Mammoths record stands at 34-30.

Westside got a knockout punch from Gabriel Betancourt. The pinch hitter hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"It's great to see the crowd jacked up," Betancourt said.
