With Beagan Rush leading the charge, the Great Lakes Loons defeated the West Michigan Whitecaps, 8-6. Rush went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Loons. McKenzie Wilkins recorded his 9th save for Great Lakes. The third-place Loons are 40-23.

In the bottom of the sixth, the Loons grabbed the lead when Rush hit his 4th home run of the season. The grand slam home run off Luke Bigsby made it 8-6, Great Lakes.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Rush told the Great Lakes Daily News.
