LumberKings Earn Clutch Win, 5-4
Clinton beat Lake County at Ashford University Field, eking out a 5-4 win. The win was due in large part to designated hitter Jacob Nickles. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Clinton reliever Kenny Tendler picked up the win. Darion Bennett took the loss for Lake County. The LumberKings improved to a lofty 50-17.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With one out, Nickles hit a curveball from Darion Bennett for a run-scoring single. The LumberKings, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"The fans went nuts at the end," Nickles said.
