Captains Topple Muskies with Late Rally
|
The Lake County Captains called upon starter Chase Savage, and he delivered, leading his team to victory over the Madison Muskies, 4-2. The Captains sport a record of 44-22.
The game was at a stalemate until left fielder Kevin Wisniewski came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Madison pitcher Jordan DeRossett, he hit a first pitch fastball for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Lake County on top, 4-2.
Wisniewski called the win "a team effort."
