The Dayton Dragons went down to defeat to Trent Horton and his Flint teammates. The final score was 2-0 in favor of the Wolverines. The winning pitcher was Horton, now 3-3. He tossed 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 4. John Tilton closed it out for his 5th save.

Flint shortstop Sean Johnstone contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, he hit a fastball into center field for a 2-run single. It was his 54th hit of the season and put the Wolverines ahead, 2-0.

"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said Horton. "Successful pitchers do it."
