The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders and starting pitcher Wayne Oden stifled the South Bend offense en route to a comfortable 8-2 win at Four Winds Field at Coveleski Stadium. With the win, Fond du Lac has a record of 36-33. South Bend falls to 37-32.

Fond du Lac used a clutch at-bat from Declan Townsend to capture the win. The shortstop hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Dock Spiders ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Wayne's stuff looked really, really crisp," said Elijah Spector, the Dock Spiders manager.
