Clinton right fielder Mal Herrick had a 3-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Great Lakes Loons, 7-5. Zach Holcomb, the winning pitcher, is now 3-1. He went 6.2 innings, allowing 4 runs on 9 hits, while fanning 6 and walking 2. Picking up the save was Morgan Alexander, his 4th.

Herrick had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 2-2 fastball from Sam Heilman, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the LumberKings a 6-4 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Herrick.
