Narrow Win Takes Seattle Streak to 11
|
Seattle pitcher Errol Medrano did his part in helping his team beat the Oakland Athletics, 4-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Gaman Ramage nailed down his 4th save. With the win, Seattle goes to 11-0.
Seattle needed the clutch hitting of Alexis Loya to notch the win. The left fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Mariners on top, 4-3. For the game, Loya had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"We're just feeding off each other right now," said Medrano.
